Scam Alert: Fake agents impersonating Osadi

Fraudster impersonating Osadi to collect fake recruitment fees

Osadi is issuing an urgent public alert following multiple reports of a scam targeting source country agents. An individual is falsely claiming to represent Agensi Pekerjaan Osadi Sdn. Bhd., using forged documents and fake company names to collect unauthorized recruitment fees.

We are publishing this to help prevent further victimization, protect our name, and maintain the integrity of ethical recruitment.

What’s happening?

Several agents have been approached by someone claiming to be from Osadi. They were shown fake agreements, asked to deposit money into unauthorized bank accounts, and led to believe they were working directly with us.

Osadi has confirmed that:

  • These agreements are forged, using fake letterheads, unauthorized names, and poor formatting.
  • Bank details included in these documents do not belong to Osadi.
  • The perpetrator is not part of Osadi, and the names used in the scam—“Hong Chee”, “Hong Chee Lee”, “Hong Chan Lee”—are not affiliated with us in any way.
  • The deposit slips provided by victims are real, but the money went to a scammer, not to Osadi.
  • The scammer has used multiple aliases and company names to mislead agents.

ZERO FEES Policy – No Exceptions

Osadi practices a strict ZERO FEES POLICY.
We do not charge agents or workers any recruitment, placement, or processing fees—under any circumstance.

As a result:

  • There will never be any banking details in an Osadi agreement
  • We will never request any deposit or payment from agents, agencies, or workers
  • Any such request is a clear indication of fraud

What’s Fake vs What’s True?

Here’s a breakdown of key false elements and the facts:

Banking Details in Agreement ❌ No Osadi agreement will ever include bank account information. We never request deposits or payments.
Letterhead ❌ The letterhead used in the forged document is not Osadi’s official format and is fabricated.
Signatory: “Hong Chee”, “Hong Chee Lee”, “Hong Chan Lee” Executive Director” ❌ This individual is not affiliated with Osadi in any capacity. Only our verified directors may sign official agreements.

This is a forged agreement using a fake letterhead. The poor formatting and incorrect punctuation are also red flags.

The signatory “Hong Chee” or “Hong Chee Lee” or “Hong Chan Lee” is NOT affiliated with Osadi. Bank accounts provided in the scam are not related to Osadi in any way. OSADI NEVER COLLECTS RECRUITMENT FEES.

Other red flags to watch out for

  1. Unprofessional formatting, including bad punctuation and grammar
  2. Urgent requests to make payments
  3. Use of bank accounts under personal or unrelated company names
  4. Refusal to verify identity or use official communication channels

If you notice any of these signs—do not proceed. Always verify directly with us.

What Osadi is doing

  • Lodged multiple police reports
  • Advised victims to file police reports
  • Shared public warnings across our website and social media
  • Attempting to reach Malaysia’s Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID) to escalate the case

We will continue to pursue all available channels until the scam is stopped.

Protect yourself and others

If you’re an agent, partner, or stakeholder:

  • Never make payments to anyone claiming to represent Osadi without verifying
  • Double-check documents and confirm signatories
  • Look for banking details in agreements—this is an automatic red flag
